Two vehicles were involved in a minor crash on Route 522 June 13. Involved were Carson Thompson of Danville operating a65 Plymouth and Wilton B. Settle of Front Royal in a 62 Chevrolet station wagon. According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, Thompson skidded on wet pavement across the center of the road and into Settle. Damage was estimated at $350 to the Settle vehicle and at $250 to Thompson’s. There were no injuries.
A 65 Chevrolet overturned at Ben Venue Sunday evening on Route 211 about 8 p.m. Warren Sandford Jr. of Marshall failed to negotiate the sharp curve at the construction barricade at Ben Venue, ran over the embankment and turned over, according to Trooper J. B. Willis. He was charged with reckless driving.
