June report for Amissville Fire and Rescue units which were inadvertently omitted from the list last week: June 2 the Amissville Fire Department responded to a call to the home of Russell Wharton at Jeffersonton where electrical trouble had occurred. The Rescue Squad took David James to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton on June 4 and on the 7th took David L. Fan non to Fauquier Hospital with a cut hand June 10, Allen Robb was taken from a Washington hospital to Warrenton. June 11 the rescue unit transported Mrs Annie Latham to Fauquier Hospital and the 12 responded to a call at the home of George Hackley but its service was not used. Mrs Alice Nicholson was taken to Fauquier Hospital on June 13.
On Thursday, June 11, the Flint Hill Rescue Squad brought Joe Durden from Newton D. Baker Hospital, Martinsburg to his home. Sunday, June 15 ! “Shorty” Seal was given first aid at his home following a fall Ned j Settle’s seven year old daughter was taken to the Winchester Memorial Hospital on Monday
Rappahannock Rescue Squad was called Wednesday, June 11 to take Mrs. Mildred Many to the Culpeper Memorial Hospital for treatment of a dog bite. The same day James Pullen was taken to a Staunton hospital. On the 13th Mrs. Many was taken to Dr. Broman’s office in Culpeper for a check-up. On Saturday the 14th 3 accident victims from Route 231 were taken to the University of Virginia Hospital. The Squad was called on Tuesday to the Rayner Snead barn where Walter Roy was injured slightly.
Washington Fire Company reported to a sprayer fire at Joe D. Keyser’s on Thursday. On 1 Friday the fire company went to 1 a small building fire at the Lake Motel.
