Pfc. William Roland Welch, Jr. arrived home Saturday on furlough after completing six months of National Guard duty at Ft. Polk, La. His brother ETR3 Roger Allen Welch of the Norfolk Naval Station, Portsmouth and Miss Geneva Capps of Richmond were weekend guests in the W.R. Welch home.
Miss Mary Kay Robin Garwood of Manassas is the guest this week of her grandmother Mrs. James C. Fincham.

Mrs! Charlie Settle of Woodville entertained with a cook-out Saturday afternoon in honor of the birthday of her daughter Miss Edna Bayne. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Mrs. K. P. Grigsby, Mrs. Raymond Johnson, Franklin Hitt, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners and son Larry, all of Woodville. Also attending were Dr. and Mrs. James Johnson and family of Lakeland, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baily and John Henry Woodward, of Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. J. T.
