Miss Betty Lee was maid of honor for her sister. Her full-length gown was of maize dotted swiss. The Empire bodice was fashioned with a high neckline edged with white val lace and short bell sleeves also edged with lace. The back bodice and sleeves were both accented with tiny white velvet buttons. The A-frame skirt was softly gathered in the back with a self fabric bow at the waistline. Her matching Camelot bonnet, accented with daisy trim, was worn with a small veil. She carried a cascade of white marguerite daisies with yellow streamers.
Steven G. Coffman of Battle Creek, Michigan was best man and ushers were Wayne Jenkins of Sperryville, and William Biggs, front Royal, uncle and cousin of the bride, respectively.
A reception was held at the Virginia Gentleman Restaurant banquet room.
Mrs. Earl Edmonds of Huntly served the wedding cake while punch was served by Mrs. Tom Lee of Washington and Mrs. Milton Gore Jr., Blacksburg. Miss Nancy Buntin, Washington, was in charge of the guest book.
Mrs. Lee wore an aqua linen A-line dress with matching accessories and a corsage of white marguerite daisies. Due to various circumstances, the parents of the bridegroom were unable to attend the wedding.
For traveling, the bride chose a yellow linen dress with white Q oooccn l-i or art/4 tVin
