A Lily Display will be held Saturday, June 28, at “Rocklands”, home of Mrs. Doris K. Neale, located on Rt. 231 near Gordonsville. The exhibit will be open to the public from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will feature named and unnamed lilies and day lilies. Refreshments will be served and a silver offering will be taken.

“Rocklands”, two miles northwest of Gordonsville, is a brick dwelling of classic revival architecture. The original house burned in 1905 and the present home was built soon afterwards. The house is furnished with antiques and reflects the wide-ranging interests of its owner.

The lilies will be displayed on a large porch which leads to a lawn and a sunken garden planted with boxwood, flowering trees and shrubs. The garden features an Italian fountain and will be open to all visitors of the display.
