Miss Linda Roberts Smith of North Garden, who has just completed her sophomore year at Madison College, Harrisonburg, will accompany a group of students on an educational summer tour in Europe. The program is offered as a part of the regular summer school program for a full academic credit.
The group will leave Dulles International Airport on June 25 with stops in London, Amsterdam, Bremen, Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Venice, Florence, Rome, Lucerne and Paris. They will return here August 5. Designed as a musical tour, the stops in each city will include concerts, rehearsals, art galleries, museums and sightseeing and studies in the homes of such famous musicians as Bach, Beethoven, Wagner Schubert and Mozart.
Miss Smith is majoring in organ and will receive a credit in Music History and complete a project on organ. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith of North Garden and is the granddaughter of the late Lucy and Dudley Wood of Flint Hill. She will enter her junior year at Madison College in the fall.
