Firemen at Chester Gap opened their annual carnival last night and it will continue through Saturday night. Rides, games, prizes, food, fun and entertainment will be featured each night.

A brilliant display of fireworks will be the highlight of the carnival tonight, Thursday. A sale of homemade baked goods is held each night.

A contest for Queen will be held and the charming young lady who wins will be crowned on Friday evening. In addition “Little Miss Chester Gap” will 1' also be chosen. Climaxing the activities will be the awarding of prizes Saturday night at the carnival’s end.
