Road Hearing in
Amissville Tuesday
A hearing to discuss the design and location of the proposed project for Arterial Route U.S. 211 will be held July 8 in Amissville. The meeting will be held at Amissville fire hall and will begin at 10 a.m. The proposed new road would be a four-lane divided highway from the Culpeper County line to a point 3.86 miles west. Residents of this area should attend.
The proposed facility would consist of adding a two-lane road running parallel to the existing highway to serve the westbound traffic. The present road would provide the eastbound lanes except for a section of about 2,500 feet which would be reconstructed on a sharp curve.
July Fun Fair

The Washington Fire Department and Rappahannock Rescue Squad will hold a July Fun Fair at the Washington Carnival grounds on Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5. The fair will feature games, food, prizes and fun and is held to acquire funds for the operation of this volunteer service to the communities. The support of the public is asked.
Ole Hollow Reunion
Residents and former residents, friends and relatives are cordially invited to the Third Annual Reunion at Ole Hollow Church on Saturday, July 19, 1969. Each family is asked to bring their lunch. Come early and enjoy fellowship before lunch which will be at 1 p.m.
