1V Set Taken From Local High School
Rappahannock County High School was broken into Sunday night and a Magnavox television set was taken. Entry to the building was gained by breaking a glass and unlocking a window leading into the Science laboratory on the south side ol the building. The break-in was discovered by Alvin Atkins, the school custodian at 7:45 Monday morning.
Once in, an attempt was made to force the door to the guidance office without success. The vandal then opened the front door and broke another window to get into the guidance office where the television was stored, according to Sheriff C. K. Estes. This was the only item missing, he said. Fingerprints were lifted and a general alarm broadcast.
