Elmer T. Jenkins
Elmer Thomas Jenkins, 73, of Viewtown died June 30, 1969 at i Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Thomas Franklin Jenkins and the late Louise Vashti Hurt Jenkins. He was a native of Rappahannock County, a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Smith Jenkins; two sons, Marvin Edward Jenkins of Washington, D. C. and Rudy A. Jenkins of Remington; three daughters, Mrs. W. R. Latham and Mrs. Charles May, both of Viewtown, and Mrs. Medford L. Jenkins of Annandale; and five grandchildren; three step-daughters, Mrs. Lavinia Barron of Viewtown, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins of Amissville and Mrs. Juanita Pullen of Arlington; a step-son Earl Yancey of Viewtown; and nine step-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held yesterday from Forest Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. John Gabbert officiating. Interment was in the family cemetery.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.
