Representative John 0. Marsh of the Seventh District, issued the following statement from his office in Strasburg on Friday, February 6:
“After deep thought, over a substantial period of time, I have reached a decision not to seek the nomination of the Democratic Party of Virginia for Representative of the 7th Congressional District to the 92nd Congress; nor, 1 might add, am I seeking the nomination of any other party.
“In making this statement at this time, I am discharging what I view as an obligation to the party which has honored me with its nomination on four occasions to make my intentions known as soon as my decision had become firm.
“This statement should not be interpreted as an announcement of an impending withdrawal from public life. While my present intention is to devote my full energies to active representation of the 7th Congressional District during the balance of the 91st Congress, I do not rule out the
