Hounds await the sound of the huntsman's horn prior to the cast Saturday morning when the Rappahannock Hunt met at Hamden Hall, home of Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie HI near Washington for a chase. Inspecting the pack in the truck above are Alexander Kuncewicz, Sean Marsh, Heather Marsh and Sarah Hampton Massie with Mrs. Michael Marsh. The field of hunters taking advantage of the bright day was not large. Patches of snow remained in remote places and footing was slightly bad in places. A couple of sly creatures were jumped, but the chase, which ended on Locust Shade Farm owned by Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne near Ben Venue, was only moderate. Youngest member of the Massie clan to take to the saddle is Aney Melissa Massie, left, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Massie of Washington. She caught a ride with her uncle W. G. Eastham of Amiasvilla when. he. joined .other dub members for the hunt. The field returned in the afternoon for a hunt breakfast at Hamden Hall.
