Lumpkin sustained lacerations of the chin and a concussion. He was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Damage to the Jackson car was estimated at $500 and at $400 to the Lumpkin auto.
Just east of Panorama on Route 211 at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Wilson Keyser Huffman and Ennis Clark, both of Luray, were involved in a collision. Clark was attempting to pass Huffman on the four-lane road where Skyline Drive intersects Route 211 when he skidded and struck the side of the other car. The Huffman car went down an embankment and the Clark vehicle careened across the median and hit the left bank. Damage to the Huffman car was set at $250 by Trooper Buntin and at $10 to Clark’s, who was charged with reckless driving.
Shirley Jean Harris - of Washington, D. C. and Brevious Edward Jordan, jr. of Front Royal were involved in a collision on Route 211, two miles west of Washington very early Sunday morning. Harris gave a signal to pull off the right of the road in her ’69 Chevrolet and Jordan, operating a ’61 Chevrolet,'twr into the rear of the Harris car. Hie Jordan vehicle was declared a total loss and damage to the Harris car was estimated at a thousand dollars.
Shirley Harris and a passenger in her car, Carolyn Robinson of Culpeper were taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by car. Both were complaining of back and neck injuries.
Jordan was charged with reckless driving.
