She vm married to the late Robert Dickey in 1921 and they had four children, three of whom survive. In 1934 she was married to Newbold Noyes who was associate editor of the Washington Star. He died in 1942. She has three step-children by that marriage.
Dr. Lucas was headmaster of St. Albans School in Washington, D. C. from 1929 to 1949 and also served as canon of the Washington Cathedral from 1932-49. He was the arch deacon of Maryland and Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, later becoming Dean of the Philadelphia Divinity School for three years. After his retirement, he moved with his wife, the former Frances Wharton Scott, to Essex, Conn. They had four children. Following her death early last year, he moved to an apartment in Philadelphia.
Dr. and Mrs. Lucas and their families have been friends for over thirty years. The Dickey; Lucas and Noyes children entertained Friday evening with a dinner at the Metropolitan Club for their parents.
