Graduates from
King College
David Francis White of Flint Hill will be a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Arts at the 1970 graduation exercises of King College on May 25.
Sixty-three seniors are in the graduating class at King this spring. The baccalaureate' sermon on May 24 will be given by the Reverend Lewis Daniel, Jr., associate minister of the Myers Park Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, N. C. The commencement address on May 25 will be delivered by Dr. Henry W. Littlefield, president of the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.
Mr. White has majored in economics and business at King. He is the son of Admiral and Mrs. J. M. Gardiner of High Meadow Farm, Flint Hill.
Groves Indicted
On Murder Charge
Two indictments were handed down by the grand jury last week and trial dates have been set for each.
A true bill was found in the murder charge of Walter Clifford Groves of Jeffersonton and a trial is scheduled for July 17, 1970 at 10 a.m. with a jury.
A trial has been set for Elmer Elwood Dyer, charged with breaking and entering, for May 27 without a jury.
Forest Grove To
Hold Country Dinner
A country dinner with the menu including old Virginia ham and fried chicken will be held Saturday, May 23 at the Forest Grove School building. Hours for serving are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Also featured will be homemade breads including combread, a variety of vegetables and assorted pies. Dinner will be $2 for adults and $1 for children. The dinner is sponsored by Forest Grove Baptist Church and proceeds go to the building fund.
