A group of Rappahannock County citizens participated in a meeting on April 30 to discuss the possibility of a Mental Health Clinic for this county. The result of the meeting was an invitation from the Culpeper County Clinic to share its facilities.
Rappahannock County has no clinic or resources for referral cases even though there is sufent case load to warrant this service. The situation requires urgent attention and to meet the need the financial support and active consideration of everyone is requested.
An organizational meeting of a Mental Health Chapter is scheduled for May 28, 1970 at the courthouse in Washington, Va. at 8 p.m. at which time the Rev. Horace Douty will be guest speaker. Rev. Douty, Presbyterian Minister of Culpeper, is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Culpeper Mental Health Clinic.
