Mitt Gail Christine Butler, age 18, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler of Sperryville, was voted unanimously the winner of the Essay Contest at the Interdenominational State Usher’s Union held at the Antioch Baptist Church, Culpeper, Friday evening, May 15. Miss Butler delivered her address with poise and dignity, a true credit to the First Baptist Church Usher’s Board of Washington, Va. of which she is an active member. She is a native of Rappahannock County and resides with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James Butler at Gordonsville. She was a former student of Scrabble Graded ' School and is now a senior at Albemarle High School, Charlottesville.
