Arts & Crafts Group Continues Stenciling
The Arts and Crafts group will have one more work day on tole stenciling, on Tuesday, May 26 at Cab-Inn, Sperryville. It is strongly recommended that the pieces of tin to be decorated be prepared ahead so they can actually be stencilled at the meeting. Each person should also have a cut stencil suitable for the piece that is going to be decorated. To prepare the tin: (1) All old paint should be removed. (2) Use a rusticide. (3) Rub with very fine steel wool. (4) Paint with three coate of flat paint - black or colored, allowing the paint to dry thoroughly between coats. After this preparation the tin is ready for decorating. The meeting starts at 10 a.rri. Those attending should bring a sandwich.
