Bridesmaids were Miss Barbara Geer and Miss Phyllis Geer of Brightwood, sisters of the bride. They wore floor-length gowns of maize organza styled similar to the honor attendant. They carried bouquets of white and yellow daisies.
Miss Cynthia Geer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Geer of Culpeper, was flower girl. She wore a long yellow gown with matching bow headpiece and carried a basket of rose petals.
Ringbearer was Allen Knighting, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Knighting of Castleton. Train bearer was Phillip Roger Geer, Jr. of Culpeper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Geer.
Mr. Downing Hitt of Castleton, father of the bridegroom, was best man.

A reception followed the ceremony at the American Legion Home in Madison. Mrs. Phillip Geer of Culpeper served the cake while Mrs. Turner Geer and Mrs. Frankie Weakley, both of Brightwood poured punch. Mrs. George Clatterbuck of Brightwood attended the guest book.
