Provisions in Virginia’s highway construction specifications have been revised to insure greatei control over erosion, siltation and pollution, the Virginia Department of Highways said today.
The revisions are included in five sections of the 1970 edition of the department's “Road and Bridge Specifications,” a 583-page book governing operations on all highway construction projects and most maintenance work. The book serves as a guide for personnel of the department and the approximately 600 contractors with whom it does business.
