Miss Kristin Ellen Gulbransen, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Earl Gulbransen of Pittsburgh, Pa., became the bride of James Edward Martin of New Jersey and Front Royal on Saturday, December 19, 1970. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. James Edward Martin, Sr. of Ridgewood, New Jersey and the late Mr. Martin.

The marriage took place in Heinz Memorial Chapel, University of Pennsylvania, in Pittsburgh. Dr. Gordon E. Hermanson, President of Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia, performed the ceremony.

Dr. Robert Sutherland Lord, organist for the chapel, presented the wedding music and Mrs. David L. Blauvelt of Front Royal, who is the music teacher in Rappahannock schools, was soloist.
