Chris Fox of Chester Gap has been selected to receive the Good Citizen Award given each year to a Rappahannock County High School senior student by the Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Qualifications required of a candidate include dependability, leadership, service and patriotism. Three candidates are selected by the senior class and the school faculty makes the final decision.
Miss Fox is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Scott of Chester Gap. School activities in which she participates are the Honor Society, the annual staff and she is a cheerleader.
The Culpeper DAR also makes this award to a senior of Culpeper and Madison High Schools.

Babysitters For Adull Education Classes
A new feature is being added this year to the Adult Educatior Classes to be taught at the Rappahannock County High School, beginning Thursday January 7, at 7 p.m.: Babysitters Parents will be able to bring theii children with them to tht meetings where they will be caret for free of charge while tht parents will be participating ir their classes.
A number of high school girl: have volunteered their services however, adults are needed ai well as more youth. It is hopec that enough persons will volunteer so that they could rotate and not have to come more than twice during the nine week period of one night a week.
If plans go as planned, pre-school children will be cared for apart from school age children so volunteers will be needed for both.
