Marketing Service

The Board of Directors of Rappahannock County Fafthr* Bureau has voted to offer the Livestock Marketing Service of the Virginia Farm Bureau Marketing Association to the members of its organization. This service will provide an opportunity for cattle producers to improve their efficiency of marketing livestock.

The program will provide sales and marketing service; a sales representative responsible to producer members; a flexible organization to to meet the changing methods of marketing and to return to the producer the maximum share of the market price. This ser vice-to-member program has been developed by the Livestock Advisory Committee of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation after a 3-year study of marketing problems and opportunities. A presentation of the Livestock Marketing Service will be made at a meeting in the courthouse at Washington on Monday, April 5, 1971 from 7:30 until 9 p.m. All persons interested in learning about the service are invited whether you are a member of the Rappahannock Farm Bureau or not.
