Volunteer firemen and rescue squadsmen of Amissville with invited guests were honored with a banquet Friday night at the fire hall. This was the eighteenth annual dinner given by the Amissville Ladies Auxiliary. Guests and visitors were welcomed by Mrs. Edith Hackley, president of the auxiliary, after the group sang “America” and the Rev. W. A. Layman gave the invocation. Garment Plant Seeks

Labor Survey

An internationally known manufacturer of men, women and children’s wearing apparejr has informed the Rappahannock Jaycees of its interest in establishing a garment manufacturing plant in the Rappahannock County area. The local Jaycees have been requested to make a survey of potential labor available and to find out whether or not there is sufficient interest in the more than 200 jobs a plant of this nature would make available.

In the near future applications will be distributed in Rappahannock County and surrounding area. Anyone interested will be asked to fill out the questionnaire so the degree of interest of people can be ascertained by the company.
