At l:40a.m. Saturday on Route 642 south of Amissville a single vehicle crash occurred and three people were injured. Robert Lee Cooke of Castleton operating a 67 Pontiac lost control of the vehicle, ran off the left of the road and struck a tree, according to a report filed by Trooper J. B. Willis. Cooke sustained a lacerated leg.
Janice Smith of Amissville received a broken left leg and James Randolph Cooke of Castleton sustained a head 'laceration. All were taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton by Amissville Rescue Squad.
Robert Lee Cooke was charged with reckless driving and damage to the car was estimated at $1,500.
John Newman Dodson of Speryville lost control of his vehicle, a 1963 Plymouth, on Route 522 Tuesday night and went over the bank. According to Trooper J. B. Willis, the crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. after Dodson apparently had a flat tire.
