Kenneth Simpson in Luray and also visited Miss Ann Slaughter at her summer home near Luray. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Terry and children Wanda, Eddie and Billy of Hampton spent the holiday weekend with Mrs. Terry’s mother Mrs. Bertha Armel. Mr. and Mrs. William Estes entertained at a picnic lunch July 4 for the Terrys, Mrs. Armel and Mr. and Mrs. Granville Hudson. Mr. and Mrs. Terry and family and Mrs. Armel spent the day last Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Estes in Lignum. Mrs. Armel was a visitor Sunday of Mrs. Ada Mellott in Alexandria.

Ella Mae, Nola and Charles Harper with their cousins Becky and Gary Charlton of Harrisonburg, attended Merriwood Christian Camp in Winston-Salem, N. C. last week. Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Harper and Mrs. Alpha Charlton joined their children at camp on Thursday and all returned home on Saturday.

Ensign Craig Welling of Minneapolis, Minn, arrived today (Thursday) to spend the weekend as the guest of Miss Carter Moffett in the home of her parents Judge and Mrs. W. F. Moffett on Gay Street.
