Serving as a vital link between the Farmers Home Administration and rural families and their communities is the Farmers Home Administration County Committee. It is composed of three outstanding leaders in each area. These citizens advise the Farmers Home Administration County Supervisor “County committeemen are the Farmers Home Administration’s closest liaison to the people,” said the local Farmers Home Administration county supervisor, Mortimer L. Trew. “Their experience and knowledge of the area have proven to be invaluable in the administration of a sound rural development program in the Fauquier-Rappahannock County area.” Members of the FauquierRappahannock County Area FHA committee are Luther S. Jenkins, jr., Sperryville; William M. Fox, Remington; James Richard Latham, Amissville.
