Mrs. Harry Hurtt visited the Smiths from Friday to Sunday. Mrs. Frances Thornton, Mrs. J. W. Fletcher and Miss Susan rhornton of Culpeper paid visits to Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thornton in Blacksburg Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown, jr., in Tazewell and Dr. and Mrs. James M. Thornton in Gate City during the weekend. Weekend guesfe of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hawkins were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Burke and children Mike and Sandra of Alexandria, Mr and,Mrs. Roger Hawkins and soft Chris Of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. William Hawkins and daughter Mandy of Front Royal, Mrs. Mabel Burke and son Richie of Woodville and Roy and Janet Alther of Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Williams and sons Mike and Eddie with Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Eastham and sons Fletcher and Lindsay spent the weekend at Virginia Beach.

Sunday the Rev. and Mrs. John Divers and children of Wake Forest, N.C. were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Judd Burke.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ridenour returned to Cedar Rapids, Iowa this week after a visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Brady Jr.

Weekend guests of the Bradys were Mr. and Mrs. C. H. McCulloch of Fairfax and Mrs. Lake Lester of Manassas who is spending a few days with the Bradys. Spending the weekend at Virginia Beach were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Biggs, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell and son Terry, Mrs. Thelma Russell, all of Flint Hill, J. G. Russell and daughter Mary Rebecca of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lewis and Bud Corder, of Huntly, and Frank Coffey of Sperryville. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dennis and children Debbie and Bill of Jackson, South Carolina.

John Browning of Charlottesville was the weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning. Thursday evening Dr. and Mrs. R. B. Allen will attend a performance of “Carmen” at the Filene Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfax County. They will
