Gross Over $11,000
The Sperryville Fire Department announces that the gross proceeds from the annual carnival held recently totaled $11,354.52. Members of this organization expressed appreciation to all who worked, contributed time, money, food and all who attended the carnival to make it a success.

Mass Meeting Friday
A mass meeting of Rappahannock County Democrats will be held tomorrow night Friday, August 6 at the courthouse in Washington at 8 p.m. The primary object of the meeting is to elect delegates to the Democratic State Convention which is scheduled far August 14 at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va.
Rappahannock has been appointed two votes at the state convention. Two \deiegates and two alternates will' be elected at Friday’s meeting.
