In Julia Fletcher’s poem Little Things, she makes this observation-“Little drops of water, little grains of sand,

Make the mighty ocean and the pleasant land

And the little minutes, humble though they be,

Make the mighty ages of eternity.”

Went to church yesterday and heard a wonderful sermon based on so-called little things. He seemed to think that with God there is nothing too small in His divine scheme of things; everything is important with God.

After coming home, eating brunch and finding that my good deed for the day had been cancelled (taking lad to nature camp) I set up my hammock between two trees up the mountain above the house. After reading the Sunday paper I spent some time in meditation. Little things important with God. I needed that. Is my minuscule intellect important to God? Do my expressed thoughts cause people to think of me as a fool and just ‘laugh them off’ or do they delve deeper into matters because I have caused them to think. Someone has said; “Big fleas - have little fleas on their back to bite 'em, and little fleas have littler fleas; and so adinfinitum.” As far into the microcosm and into the macrocosm as man has been able to see, he can see the
