HJOTICE TO fARMERS

I notice some farmers are filling silos this season and are not waiting for the “dent grain*' as they have been instructed to in the past years. Many fanners also are still passing up the use of a solid preservative to control ^eat, ammonia runoff and mold without using SILO-GUARD. It’s a much better chance to have mold. SILO-GUARD holds up the food value level which is expensive to replace (over 4 times the cost of Silo-Guard). A Penna. farm paper published last September said to also consider use of a recommended silo preservative to further guard against silo gas and mold problems. Heat causes mold and kills Vitamin A. More farmers have begun to use SILOGUARD than ever only because of the blight. I now have available a "test paper" from V.P.I. with which I can tell what silage is worth by using this test paper and the loss by NOT using Silo-Guard.

If I can be of any help to you to have better silage . .. Contact:
