Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser entertained a group of neighbors and friends Saturday evening at their home The Oaks, welcoming newcomers to Tiger Valley. Guests from Friday until Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Chas C. Burke on Blue Ridge Avenue were their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. William Hershey of Bristol, Pa. and their son Gary Hershey of Pittsburgh. All attended the Burke family reunion at Sperryville. The Rev. and Mrs. Park Dickerson and children Lynn and Ben of Hanover, N. H. arrived Wednesday of last week to spend ten days with Mrs. Dickerson’s parents Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, jr. on Gay Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Slaughter of Leesburg and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Simpson of Luray were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser.
Mr. and Mrs. Quenton McCoy and children Molly and “Lucky” returned home Monday aftei spending the week-end at the home of Mr. McCoy’s parents at Coeburn. Mr. McCoy’s father C.D.L. McCoy is a patient at Wise Hospital and is reported to be improving from a recent illness.
Mrs. Kent Woolfolk was the week-end guest of her sister Miss Irene Keyser. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sentz of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend at their home in Tiger Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fairfax spent the week-end with their sonin-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert Conover in Roanoke. Capt. William Wiener of Bridgewater was a luncheon guest Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller at Mt. Prospect.
