these articles were found Monday in the vicinity of Rappahannock County High School. They were positively identified by Emory Russell, the cashier, and were sent to the F B I. laboratory for prints.
In addition to local authorities who responded, an agent of the F B I. was sent from the Winchester office, as well as a state investigator.
4-H Fair Winners
Last Wednesday there were 14 different exhibits with a total of 129 entries at the 4-H Fair held in the Flint Hill fire hall. Ribbons were awarded to all entries. Special awards presented to grand prize winners in each category were as follows: Fabric Flowers Beverly Lawrence, Crocheting - Anita Roy, Spool Knitting - Bridget Brown, Tye Dying - Sue Titchenell, Macrame - Wendy Brown, Yarn Dusters - Gisele Summers, Wall Hangings - Kim Gilkey, Book Covers - Bridget Brown, Ruler Holders -Gisele Summers, Bookends - Pat Settle, Pencil Cans - Kelly Gilkey, Purses - Edna Perkins, Baking - Debbie Jeffries, Miscellaneous - Sheri Settle with her paper doll and Debbie Jeffries with her linoleum block prints. All the projects certainly reflected the hard work and efforts this summer of the 4H’ers.
