Coin Show Scheduled In Culpeper

Culpeper Coin Club is sponsoring a coin show Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12 which will be held at Holiday Inn on Route 29 south of Culpeper. Free prizes will be given and there is no admission. Visitors are welcomed. The Culpeper Numismatic Club is a non-profit organization and sponsors the show annually. The club meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in Culpeper National Bank at 7:30 p.m.

Seeks Wardens

The Virginia Game Commission is seeking 20 game warden trainees to fill vacancies in the statewide Game Warden Force this fall, reports Law Enforcement Chief John McLaughlin. Applicants must be Virginia residents between 21 and 34 years old, between 5’8” and 6’4” tall, between 150 and 220 pounds and high school graduates in good physical condition. Application forms may be obtained at local offices of the Virginia Employment Commission or from the Division of Personnel or the Game Commission in Richmond. Applicants meeting the basic requirements will be invited to take a competitive examination and to submit to oral interview and complete a physical fittness test. Those selected as trainees will be given a 4 week p re-serviced training course at Game Commission expense before being assigned to whatever location in the state the Commission deems appropriate.
