Cramer Nominated
For State Senate
Dr. Alfred Cramer III of Culpeper was nominated as the Republican candidate for the Virginia Senate in the November 2 election. Republicans from the 26th Senatorial District met in Convention Saturday afternoon in Luray. Cramer won the nomination on the first ballot by a vote of 31^ - 21V4 over Walter B. Potter. District Democrats, also meeting in convention Saturday night, elected incumbent State Sen. George S. Aldhizer II of Broadway as their candidate. The 26th District is made up of Culpeper, Madison, Page, Rappahannock and Rockingham counties and the city of Harrisonburg.
