For those people inclined to fill the limit for everybody in the party, in the name of conservation and sportsmanship, forget about it! Take your limit and sit back under a shade tree and watch the action, knowing you’ve had yours. If you happen to have the hot spot in the field, take the limit and give the spot to a buddy. Killing birds for him only adds insult to injury, It’s one thing to beat him to the limit but to keep shooting to fill his seems to me to be kind of rubbing it in. Though he may not tell you in the field, he’d probably “rather do it himself” to use an old TV phrase.

Don’t forget licenses and the required permission. Don’t forget many dove fields are near building, stock and other farm activity. Be considerate of the landowner, fellow hunters and above all, the dove.

Good hunting and fond memories.
