Again, we insisted that Sperryville wants clean water, but how, and why not include the entire County in projects to clean up water pollution? The STRANGEST THING--nobody outside of Sperryville wanted the water Control Board to make similar plans for them!
Even today, after two years of ! repeated statements by the Water Control Board that Sperryville soil is not suitable, the Health Department officer is still issuing permits for more houses and more septic systems to be put in Sperryville. Two years ago I was told my system would be declared unsafe though it is in the middle of a 2-acre plot of land, but today a new system only !& acre of land has been approved right next to my fence! When were they being perfectly honest about the pollution danger-two years ago-or NOW?
