collision Friday night at 9:30 p.m. on Route 729 near Estes. According to Trooper W. A. Bun tin, a 1964 Chevrolet coupe operated by Donald Ray Mills of Castleton and a 1964 four door sedan operated by David Robson Compton of Rixeyville collided. Both vehicles were traveling south when Mills made a left turn and Compton apparently tried to pass. Compton struck Mills in the left side and the car turned over the shoulder of the road. There were no injuries. Estimated damage to the autos stood at $800 or a total loss to the Mills car and at $400 to the Compton car. Compton was cited for reckless driving. Two vehicles collided on Rt. 211 east of Amissville in Culpeper County Friday afternoon. Ashby Turner Grimsley of Huntly operating a 1969 Ford pickup struck the side of a GMC pickup operated by Jasper Yowell jr. as Yowell entered Route 211 from Route 621. The Grimsley truck ran. off the road and over turned and damage to it was estimated at $900 according to investigating officer Trooper W. C. Echard.
The Yowell truck was damaged in the amount of $500 and he was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
The drivers of the vehicles were not injured but Franklin Lee Whorton of Amissville sustained a laceration of the arm and was treated at Fauquier Hospital. He was a passenger with Mr. Grimsley.
