Miss Carey Randall Iden, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Iden of Warrenton, was married at four-thirty o’clock Saturday, September eighteenth to Stephen Mitchell Day, son of Mrs. E. Mitchell Day of Sperryville and Walter Owens Day of Twin Falls, Idaho. The ceremony was performed on the lawn of the home of the bride’s parents by the Reverend David Greer. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full-length gown of white corded cotton, accented with lace at the neck, sleeves and hem. She wore a circlet of matching white lace in her hair and her sash was of pale blue velvet. She carried a nosegay of baby’s breath, roses and miniature carnations. The bride’s only attendant was her sister, Mrs. John T. Maloney, Jr., who wore a gown of deep pink and white voile with matching velvet sash and hair bow, and carried a nosegay of roses and carnations.
Hie groom had as his best man his brother, Donal Day of Sperryville.
Mrs. Day is a graduate of Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri and The George Washington University. Mr. Day is a programmer analyst for Information Systems Corporation of Falls Church.
After a wedding trip to Nova Scotia, the couple will live in Arlington.
