Winners Named
Additional winners in the 4-H horse show last week included Ann Baumgardner of Washington, Va. and Annandale who took a second in Novice pony, outside course; a second in Junior hunter horse; a fourth in Junior hunter under saddle. She was first in advanced equitation and fourth in Junior hunter, outside course.
Cil Davis was first in senior fitting and showing; third in novice junior hunter and first in novice junior hunter, outside course. She is of Washington, Va. Judy Cornwell was in first place in junior fitting and showing, novice pony hunter, and in the costume class. Sue Smith was second in junior fitting and showing, and third in the costume class. Faith Dickerson was fourth in junior fitting and showing; second in novice pony hunter; first in novice pony under saddle; third in small pony under saddle. Eva Dahlgren of Huntiy placed third in junior fitting and showing; third in small pony hunter ; second in large pony hunter; first in small pony under saddle; fourth in large pony under saddle; third in small pony, outside course; and fourth in both large pony, outside course and advanced equitation.
Justine Owen of Annandale was second in senior showing and fitting; first in novice junior hunter and in novice junior hunter under saddle. She was fourth in novice junior hunter, outside course and in large pony hunter; third in junior hunter horse; first in large pony under saddle and in junior hunter under saddle; and third in large pony, outside course.
Susan Wiedenkeller placed first in beginner jumping and Pam Wiedenkeller was second in that class and fourth in novice pony under saddle. Pat Powers of Boston claimed a second and a fourth in novice junior hunter with “Once a Star” and “Lace Dress,” respectively; a second in novice junior hunter under saddle; a second and third in novice junior hunter, outside course; a first in junior hunter horse; second in junior hunter under saddle; plus a first in junior hunter outside course. Debbie Saunders took a third in novice pony under saddle; a fourth in novice pony, outside course. Cathy Coley was first in the small pony hunter class; fourth in small pony under saddle; second in small pony, outside course; and second in advanced equitation. Mary Johnson placed second in small pony hunter and in small pony under saddle; first in small pony, outside course.
