The main purpose for the meeting was to gather entries in the Big Deer Contest which is annually sponsored by the club. Anyone interested in entering the contest may do so by joining the club, $1.00 for membership, and paying a $1.00 contest entry fee. The deer need not be taken in Rappahannock County. If interested contact Mr. Johnston, Washington; Charles Foster, Secretary-Treasurer of Flint Hill or Roy Atkins, Sperryville. Deadline for entries is November 14. A trophy will be awarded

In other business the Club again approved the use of its funds to pay for hunter safety material which is used in giving the NRA Hunter Safety Course at the local high school. In addition the Club also approved the purchase of booklets to be used in a short course on Wildlife Management. This course, on the basics of game management, will be given to some students who have already had the hunter safety course.
