Sperryville Boy Scout*
Hold Weekend Campout Troop No. 65 tfoy Scouts of America, Sperryville, Va. spent the weekend of October 8 on a camping trip at the pond «f Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson near Sperryville. We arrived at the camp site about five o’clock Friday afternoon and set up near the pond. Meals were prepared by Scouts earning their cooking merit badges.
Saturday morning we took a five mile hike and studied the trees and the apimal life we came across. It was a good day for a hike and the air was cool and felt good as we climbed the hills. I think it was enjoyed by all. That afternoon we had classes for advancement in rank. The older and higher ranking boys instructed the younger boys in scoutcrafts so they could move up in rank with experience.
Saturday night we had a campfire and skits, even though it
