Has everyone in any District ever been asked for his opinion before his Supervisor voted in the Board of Supervisors?
How could any representative find the time and money to have every voter dictate how he or she would represent them?
What happens when weekly decisions have to be made at the Board of Supervisors meetings?
Nowhere in the Democratic processes has anyone run for a public office and been elected unless his position on issues within his responsibility is known. Candidates for election or reelection owe their constituents a clearcut platform.
R.L.E.P. will do everyone a great service by letting us all know what the questions were and how all the candidates answered them. I’m voting for the candidate I can trust to represent me. This trust can only be based upon unambiguous platforms and pledges prior to election.

Dear Editor,
In response to Mrs. Coates letter stating her position on the questionnaire from RLEP, I can appreciate and respect her position. She is unopposed in her district and we can assume that she is serving well. However, I find it hard to believe that any candidate for public office would refuse to disclose their political beliefs before an election and I think that the voters are entitled to know those beliefs. Realistically, I find it almost impossible for any candidate to personally, interview interview all of their constituents to find their views and then establish a platform. In conclusion, I repeat that the voters of this county are entitled to know the platform of each and every candidate publicly.
