Pullen, Sr.
George William Pullen Sr. of Flint Hill was pronounced dead on arrival at Warren Memorial Hospital Front Royal, Saturday, October 9, 1971. He was 41.
A funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Flint Hill United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Jerry Campbell. Interment was in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Surviving with his wife Mrs. Shirley Clark Pullen, are his parents Mr. and Mrs. Horace C. Pullen; a son, George W. Pullen, jr. and a daughter Christine Gail Pullen all of Flint Hill; three brothers, Horace C. Pullen, jr. of Flint Hill, Raymond N. Pullen of Front Royal and James T. Pullen of Falls Church; three sisters, Mrs. Julia A. Lillard and Mrs. Etelee P. Putnam, both of Front Royal and Mrs. Ruth Lillard, Flint Hill. Mr. Pullen was born in Rappahannock County. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Pallbearers were Robert Compton, Lewin Eastham, Lewis Clark, Robert Lillard, Jr., Clyde Lillard and Eddie Noakes. Turner Funeral Home was in charge.
