Bradford K. Beebe of Castleton completed his U.S. Army basic combat training September 3 at Fort Campbell, Ky. He is presently stationed with the Corps of Army Engineers at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. and in October is scheduled to report to Ft. Benning, Ga. for airborne training. Horn Blowning Champ
Randy Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Smith of Amissville, won the junior division Fox Horn Blowing contest Saturday held in connection with the annual Fredericksburg Dog Mart. Randy has been a consistent winner in this feature since he began at the age of four. He will be eleven this week.
