MC NEAR APPEARED before the Board earlier to present two applications for subdivisions, both of which he said met all county regulations.
One was for the Edco Corporation, which is dividing an 80-acre site on Route 627 in Hampton District, into four parcels. The smallest is 8.74 acres in size.
The other subdivision is planned by James Carr, and involves a fiveacre parcel out of a 49-acre tract bounded by Routes 600 and 608 near Sperryville.
“For some reason,” Chairman Newbill Miller commented in passing, “there seems to have been a great rash of developments recently in adjoining counties.”
