Sperryville failed to negotiate a curve on Route 211 west of Sperryville at 10 p.m. on August 5 and plunged through the bushes into the river upside down. His 1972 pickup was declared a total loss and he sustained a bump on the head.
Trooper Baines said charges are pending in the case.
A CHEVROLET pickup owned by W.L. Payne of Amissville was stolen from in front of his store at Ben Venue Saturday night and recovered a few hours later at the Manassas exit of Route 66.
Branson Linwood Pullen and Charles Troy Baker, both ' of Amissville, were involved in a collision on Route 645 west of Amissville on August 3.
Pullen, operating a 65 Mustang, was backing up the road near the crest of a hill and was struck from the rear by the approaching Baker vehicle, a 63 Ford.
Pullen was cited for improper backing by Trooper W.A. Buntin and damage was estimated at $400 to Pullen’s car and at $300 to Baker’s.
