Mrs. E.H. Tharp
Mrs. Elizabeth Tharp of Remington, formerly of Amissville, died August 4, 1972 in a Fairfax Hospital. She was 67, the widow of Earl Henry Tharp. She was a native of Fauquier County, the daughter of the late James and Lillie M. Tharp.
A funeral service was held Sunday from the Geest Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Stringfellow of Warrenton, Mrs. Josephine Mann of Paoli, Pa. and Mrs. Lillie Mae Moore, Remington; three sons, Earl Thomas Tharp and Clarence Edward Tharp, both of Remington, and Charles Lee Tharp of Manassas; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Pullen of Amissville, Mrs.
TV to promote
eye donations
Work has begun on the filming of six new TV spot announcements which will promote the donation of human eye tissue, on death, for corneal transplant purposes.
R. Kenneth Hudgins, executive director of Old Dominion Eye Bank, said that the eye bank’s Board has approved the scripts for the new promotional announcements and that filming is now proceeding.
