Elizabeth Buntin, superintendent of welfare, presented several bills for hospital care. Bills totalling $1,200 were approved. There was considerable discussion about the specific individuals involved, the philosophical considerations of welfare in general, and so forth.
There was also a discussion of problems with the county dump. Miller said he’d received some complaints that industrial waste was being included in the material being left at the dump, and reminded everyone of the county’s regulations which are supposed to prohibit deposit of any “burnable” items.
Chairman Miller, with other members concurring, also made a plea for members of the public “to cooperate more in the proper use of the dumpsters trash collection system.”
