Foster thought that instead of raising the fees, the deficit might be better met by Dog Warden Bruce “bringing more people into court. A whole lot pf people don’t have any tags,” he said. “Over in our section, they claim there’s a lot of them.”
REPLIED JBruce; “I hear that rumor from my friends, too. If I had 30 dog wardens, and visited every home in the county, I’d still hear it.”
Explaining that he intended no ill feeling and did not mean to start an argument, Bruce went on to say that he had visited Foster’s home on two recent occasions and “your two little dogs came out to meet me, and they had no collar and no tags.” Bruce said he knew these dogs have tags, but they weren’t displayed.
